Why choose tungsten steel stamping die?
The materials for making stamping dies include steel, cemented carbide, zinc-based alloys, low melting point alloys, aluminum bronzes, polymer materials and so on. At present, most of the materials used to manufacture stamping dies are mainly steel. The types of commonly used die working parts are: carbon tool steel, low alloy tool steel, high carbon high chromium or medium chromium tool steel, medium carbon alloy steel , high-speed steel, base steel and tungsten carbide, steel-bonded carbide and so on.
However, many companies choose tungsten steel stamping dies, because in the production and manufacturing, the requirements for the dies are strict, so the materials for the dies are also high, and the hardness, strength and wear resistance of the materials are required. At the same time, they also need to have appropriate toughness. High hardenability, no deformation during heat treatment, and resistance to cracking during quenching are required. There are very few that can meet the conditions. It is just that tungsten steel can meet this demand. After selecting the correct material, it is necessary to implement the correct heat treatment process.
In terms of heat treatment, the process should correspond to the different uses of the mold. In addition, it should be comprehensively considered according to its working state, stress conditions, performance of the material to be processed, production batch and productivity, etc., in order to ensure the service life of the mold.
