High speed steel
High speed steel is made up of W, Cr, Mo alloy tool steel, alloy elements, such as high thermal stability, high strength and toughness, and has a certain hardness and wear resistance.
Tungsten carbide has high hardness and wear resistance, cutting performance is better than high speed steel, durability is several times to ten times than high speed steel, but impact toughness is poor. Because of its excellent cutting performance, it is widely used as tool material.
Tungsten carbide grade:
- YT: WC-TiC-Co. (ISO:P, cut steel, stainless steel, long chip malleable cast iron)
YG:WC-Co. (ISO: K, cut cast iron, chilled cast iron, short chip cast iron, hardened steel and nonferrous metals)
YW:WC-TiC-TaC(NbC)Co. (ISO: M, cut cast steel, manganese steel, cast alloy iron, austenitic stainless steel, and heat resistance steel).
